A lot of latex and leather. I love latex for my top because it’s the only material that stays put in that way. I’ve been loving my tie-up top by Busted Brand.

I have a couple friends that sometimes sit with me to go through my wardrobe, but generally I pick the pieces on my own.

Do you make any special pieces?

I haven’t had any custom garments made yet. If I did, it would be more variations on latex, cuts and color. I would also pay close attention to making garments that I could move in — especially for the bottom half of my body. I dance a lot in my show!

Where do you find stage clothes? Any fav shops?

I save second-hand shops on my Google maps whenever I feel like I find special pieces there. That’s generally my go to— no matter what city I’m in. It’s not so much one specific store.

Where does your sense of style come from? Any special sources of inspiration?
angélica garcia
My personal style is mostly dressing for how I want to feel. I want to feel grounded so I wear talismans, elegant so I pick flattering silhouettes, powerful so I look for sturdy materials. It changes depending on the day too. If I feel softer, I might wear things that are breezy and fall off the shoulder. If I feel intense, I’ll wear a boot and trouser.
