What have you been wearing on stage? Anything new you've been liking?

I usually wear something oversized so I can flop around on the stage… big jackets, big pants, the bigger the better. I hate to feel constricted when you are moving around that much!

Do you collaborate with anyone? A stylist? A friend?

I always pick out what I’m going to wear… I’ve done this my entire career. Some part of it feels inorganic to the performance— but on my upcoming tour I’ve designed a bit of the clothes I will wear and they’ll be customized to fit and look the way I depicted it.

Do you make any special pieces?

In my biggest dream I would love to make one of those robot heads Daft Punk wear. Moving parts and LED lights, something really futuristic and abstract.

Where do you find stage clothes? Any fav shops?

I usually mix my stage clothes with thrift finds and high fashion? I don’t want to tell you which shops in case we both bump into each other with the same outfit hahaha

Where does your sense of style come from? Any special sources of inspiration?

You know, I actually don’t know? I always watched music videos as a kid, and that probably built my affinity to workwear like Carhartt. Wu Tang had the best videos and I always thought they had a sick style! Perhaps that’s where it came from. Utilitarian, worn in, but it looks intentional.
