Trance Revival

Trance, in it’s simplest form, is a more melodic, psychedelic and euphoric derivative of techno. While it’s parent genre originated stateside, primarily in Detroit with deep-seated influence from the Chicago house scene, trance seemed to develop concurrently between Goa, Germany, and the UK. If techno is the dark pulsation of the club, trance is the light and cold air hitting your face at 6AM the next morning. The genre has had a bit of a resurgence over the past couple years, so lend your ears to some fresh takes on an iconic flavor of dance music (trance purists, look away) –

Marlon Hoffstadt, DJ Daddy Trance - I Got You
Chicane, Bryan Adama - Don’t Give Up
Funk Tribu, Lucy Dye - All Of It
Virtual Self - Ghost Voices
BAGRUPPE90 - Schwung
The Chronics - Luz
