**Pluggnb Primer**

A genre forever tied to the [iconic producer tag](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq4yskO8bko&ab_channel=SoundNation) of the [Beatpluggs collective](https://soundcloud.com/beatpluggz) on Soundcloud – pluggnb merges the bouncy trap sonics of plugg music (see [Playboi Carti - Broke Boi](https://open.spotify.com/track/4kjrB4xpcXRiAjLRivGhN2?si=e70622e7797641ce)) with the ethereal chords of early 2000s RnB. The term entered the mainstream vocabulary by way of a smash remix of [Lil Uzi Vert’s “Watch This”](https://open.spotify.com/track/0FA4wrjDJvJTTU8AepZTup?si=f19ef9654d184007) but has been brewing in the underground for years. It’s eventual blowup on TikTok brought us breakout artists like Summrs, Joeyy and more.
