What have you been wearing on stage? Anything new you particularly like?

Noodles (@noodz)
My stage outfits are always based upon endurance, comfort, and how sweat proof it can be. Djing gets hot no matter how cold it can be at the gig. My style is very personal and intentional. I’ve always been obsessed with clothes since I was on tumblr as a teenager, which is why I take my time when I go shopping.

Do you collaborate with anyone? A stylist? A friend?

noodles
I don’t often collaborate, unless certain brands want to dress me for a specific event or if there’s a stylist on set for something I’m shooting. I went to fashion school and was a fashion stylist in my early 20’s, so I got to live that life for a bit before djing took over :)

Where do you find stage clothes? Any fav shops?

noodles
I try to find designer archival pieces when I travel to different countries & cities. I refuse to buy designer at full price. I haven’t shopped fast fashion in years and I plan to do this moving forward to help contribute to a more sustainable world. It's a thrill when I score a vintage piece for a good deal, in person or online.

Most of my stage clothes are vintage designer, second hand, or my boyfriend’s clothes. It really depends on my mood of how I want to dress for the show. I always begin each outfit by deciding which shoes I’m going to wear, followed by what bottoms, then top, accessories, etc. So I always work my way from the bottom up. This technique has always worked for me!

Where does your sense of style come from? Any special sources of inspiration?

noodles
My style comes from always having a statement piece and centering around it. If I want my purse to be the main character I make sure she’s in sync with the shoes I’m wearing. I also love focusing on textures, dimensions, and layering. I find it adds a perfect sprinkle to the fit. I’m in my 30’s now so I’ve been dressing more age appropriate while still maintaining my youth.
