What have you been wearing on stage? What have you been liking?

Whatever feels good… It entirely depends on my mood that day as well as how deep in a tour I am.
I tend to do a lot of black as it’s easier to mix and match while living out of a suitcase :) I generally travel with a trench and a hat, and sometimes that just feels correct on stage. Sometimes I’m feeling more sexy and will go for a dress and some heels. Sometimes while DJing, baggy trousers with a sheer top and trainers feels more fun and free to dance in. I like mixing textures and weights of fabric that can feel playful. I’m loving these new mules with a fun heel from Amina Muaddi.

I have a personal “archive” of pieces from designers, but most of the time am self-styled.

Yes, I’m currently working on a collection of suits I’m quite excited about. I love to upcycle and customize thrifted pieces as well.

Where do you find stage clothes? Any fav shops?

Most of my stage clothes comprise of pieces gifted from designers I love, a smiley Nike hat I stole from my son, or thrifted pieces I find on the road. One of my favorites is a navy Dickies onesie I found in Berkley during a trip while working on my last album, Sunshine Factory.

Where does your sense of style come from? Any special sources of inspiration?

I’ve always been attracted to a mix of two worlds, mixing a feminine silhouette with streetwear or leather accessories. I get inspired by my surroundings, what I’m reading at the moment, or simply the playlist and vibes I am getting ready to. If all else fails, you can’t go wrong with all black or a dope suit.
